Cats are funny
Cats make our days happier by doing the funny things they do. Happiness is one of the reasons cats are such excellent pets, and clean too. Laughter brings happiness, hail to the cats!
Another funny thing that many people like to believe is that cats will always land on their feet. While that is most observably true about them, but not always. Cats can twist their bodies in the air to the landing position very fast using its acute sense of balance and flexibility. This is known as cat 'righting reflex'.
The cat always rights itself the very same way, as long as it has the time to do so during a fall. Although certain specific cats that don't have a tail are a notable exception to this rule, since a cat moves its tail and relies on conservation of angular momentum to set up for landing.
Funny cat diets
Another thing about cats is that they are fussy eaters . Really they are, but perhaps they shouldn't be. After all, eating is for survival and not for pleasure. (At least for cats it shouldn't be). Additionally, cats have been known to develop a craving like appetite for "people food" such as French fries, pizza, chicken, bread, ice cream, carrot juice, most meats, tomato soup, and even soft tacos. But many "people foods" are not good for cats; chocolate, for example, can be fatal due to the presence of theobromine.
Theobromine poisoning (chocolate poisoning) is basically a very bad reaction to the alkaloid theobromine which is found in chocolate, tea, cola beverages, and some other foods. Humans have no trouble with dealing with the amount of theobromin found in chocolate bars and other chocolate foods. On the other hand cats, especially kittens are very sensitive to theobromine.
If a cat ingests chocolate, the chemical will be in its system for up to 20 hours and that's definitely not funny. (I'm not trying to scare you, but the lesson here is to be careful with chocolate around your cats as I know you love your cat like the rest of us). Also, immediate medical treatment is to induce vomiting within two hours of ingestion, or contacting a veterinarian.
